Summer Set Anticipation

I’ll start with a few artists that are going to be at Summer Set that I enjoy but have never seen live before:

Nas and Black Star (Talib Kweli & Mos Def) hip-hop gods that I listened to all the time years ago but still enjoy their flow and rhymes. A hip – hop show is always fun wavin, bobbin, and fist throwing simultaneously with hundreds, even thousands of other fans.

Artifakts – Heady electro hip-hop samplebased  duo. They drop crunchy beats and glitchy bass. Sounds very much like Pretty Lights’ style of music.

Some local Midwest Acts:

Roster McCabe – 5 dudes with craazy hair out of Minneapolis. A singer with a voice like John Mayer and groovy jams, Roster McCabe jams and definitely gets the crowd moving as they progress through a set list that flows through jams to raggae to hard electro rock.\

Steez – Madison Creepfunk, incorporating the best covers of classic and current songs that are sure to get you moving. They play mostly their own music spanning many genres from funk  to progressive rock. You will have to see them for yourself because i cannpot fully explain their genre but they are damn good.

Prof – Minneapolis rapper on Rhymesayers Ent. Raunchy rhymes that will make you laugh, that is if you are quick enough to catch what he’s saying

Umphrey’s McGee – Chicago Jam band Kings – these guys are sure to make your face melt with their string shredding solos and epic jams
